There are an estimated four million white-tailed deer living in Texas. They are often solitary animals but can be found in herds ranging in various sizes. Whitetails eat mostly forbs (weedy plants) and shrubs, and can be found in wooded and brushy areas of the state. Priour Hunting Ranch is home to self sustaining herds roaming our 5,000 acre well managed habitit. Hunting season typically runs from October 1 – January 1

Whitetail deer hunting is typically done by spot and stalk, stand hunting located near feeding & bedding areas or 4×4 with rifle, hand gun, or black powder. Trophy Whitetail are $6,000.
